Shop Fox D3808 1" Skew Lathe Chisel

The D3808 1" Skew Lathe Chisel is for planing surfaces, cutting angled grooves, and cutting fine lines.

The edge is beveled on the top and the bottom. The edge itself is skewed on an angle to the shaft.

The D3808 features a beautiful ash handle and a high-speed steel (HSS) blade.

HSS has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels. All HSS chisels will require regular sharpening.

8" bench grinders are recommended to maintain the proper beveling. In addition to the grinder, diamond plates will help in honing the edge of your tools in between each sharpening.

Like all Shop Fox chisels, the D3808 comes with a 1-year warranty which assures the tool is free from factory defects.
